This certification course prepares flooring professionals to properly evaluate, prepare, and repair subfloors and substrates ahead of resilient flooring installation. Developed from NAFCT's Subfloor Prep curriculum, it covers concrete curing and sealing compounds, surface contamination and cleaning, joints and cracks, adhesive residue testing, gypsum and self-leveling underlayment, wood and metal substrate preparation, and troubleshooting common installation failures. The course is organized into 8 modules, each followed by a short knowledge check, plus a comprehensive final exam. Learners who don't pass a knowledge check are guided back to that module for review before continuing, ensuring mastery of each topic before moving on.
